I Had a Hot Date!
Last night, November 14, Mac and I had the pleasure of having dinner with some great friends, Kristin and Dave, at Tony Roma's and then headed on over to quite a dive of a bar for a drink...but it was great fun! Here's a couple pics: one of me before leaving to show off my new cut and color and the other of Mac and I after dinner. Unfortunately you cannot see that the beach was directly behind us and the waves were huge! Made for a romantic evening anyhow!!!

Dance, Dance Lily!
Any time there's music on, Lily is on her feet and busting some moves...just busy shaking what her momma gave her! (And I am so very proud!) Yesterday, while listening to our typical jazz on a Sunday afternoon, Lily found herself so moved by the music that she couldn't help but dance, dance, dance! Here's a couple of pics of her "getting down"....

"Excuse me Mom, I'm Very Busy Reading!"
Lily just loves her books...if there's one thing she always has in her hands, you can bet on some serious reading material! She loves her animals and can identify many of her favorites (we think her favorite is the tiger as of right now considering she's constantly saying it!)...here are some pictures I took of her today (Nov. 10) just keeping busy with her "literature"! Enjoy!

The House of Scotland at the International Village: Balboa Park
On November 2nd, the House of Scotland was the host at the International Villages at Balboa Park which was a particularly special host for Mac. He was able to get dressed in his kilt and we enjoyed some of the best food and company! The bagpipers were amazing, the dancers were energetic, and the atmosphere was so positive! I may go so far as to say that this was one of my favorite times at Balboa Park! Here's some photos to document this fun day!
P.S. Notice the hot guy in the kilt:)

P.S. Notice the hot guy in the kilt:)
The gentleman on the right is world-renowned bagpiper, Lorne Cousin, who is now teaching at The House of Scotland every other Monday...I was nearly brought to tears listening to him play and it was an honor to meet him! Feel free to visit him at his website: www.lornecousin.com
Halloween!!!
Halloween was a BLAST!! Lily was the coolest punk-rocker ever and was totally a hit with the neighborhood! From her totally awesome red mohawk, to her buckled knee high boots, she quickly got the hang of trick-or-treating and couldn't wait to get her hands on the candy! Here's a brief snapshot of our night!

She was so hungry after trick-or-treating the she chowed down on this banana and accidentally got my finger in the process...those little teeth are sharp!!!
She was ready to go back home here...worn out and ready for a bath!
Just Playing with Mom!
Trip to the Park!
We are always going to our community park but I never think to take the camera...fortunately, the night of October 26th, Mac was with me and it made for some cute pictures knowing that he was playing with her and I could focus on snapping away. I got some cute ones...and it was the first time on the swing all by herself (or at least a swing that wasn't an "infant" swing)...she did so well!

"I know that if I keep trying, I'll eventually be able to go up the wrong way!"
"Better watch out Mom! Here I come!"
